Jacob Goldman is the Director of Business Development for Ericsson Internet Applications. His focus is on the financial services sector.
Jacob is responsible for creating worldwide business opportunities for the Internet Applications business unit in the global financial services sector. Throughout his career he has worked to introduce new technologies in telecommunications and in the IT payment infrastructure of the financial services industry. He is presently developing global alliances between Ericsson and the world's leading banks, brokerages and payment associations.
Goldman's previous employment includes Telecommunications practice expert for the Boston Consulting Group, VideoPhone Project Director for AT&T, Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Mitsubishi Electronics in Europe, and Executive Vice President of Schlumberger Smart Cards (North America).. His focus has been on introducing cutting edge technologies such as Videophones over the PSTN ( public switched telephone network), payment transaction systems using SmartCard Technology and new payment and wireless communications terminals using wireless cybersecurity.
Jacob has a BA from Duke University in Chemistry and foreign Languages, an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, and a Masters degree in Chemistry from the University of Hamburg, Germany.
He resides in Paris, France with his wife Ingrid and his two sons. His previous positions have included extended assignments in New York, Rio de Janeiro, Frankfurt, Sophia Antipolis, and London.
