CURRICULUM VITAE
Dr. Andrzej Adamski
Lecturer in criminal law and criminology at the Law Faculty, University of Torun, Poland. His main field of research is criminal information law, protection of privacy and personal data. As the UN ad-hoc consultant he contributed to the Guide to Computerization of Information Systems in Criminal Justice (United Nations Publication, 1992). In 1994, he organized under the auspices of the Council of Europe and the UN an International Conference on Legal Aspects of Computer-Related Abuses (Poznan, Poland). In 1996, he was involved, as a lecturer, in the Interregional Training
Course "United Nations Crime and Justice Information Network: Providing Information to and from Developing Countries" (Seoul, Republic of Korea). His paper entitled "Crimes Related to the Computer Network. Threats and Opportunities: Criminological Perspective" contributes the volume of papers published by the HEUNI (Publication Series no. 34) on the occasion of the Tenth United Nations Congress on The Prevention of Crime and the Treatment of Offenders. His recent book "Criminal Law and Computers" (Warsaw, 2000) covers criminological, substantive and procedural
criminal law aspects of information technology crime.
